Lucknow: In the 21st match of IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants team has defeated Gujarat Titans by 33 runs. In this match, Yash Thakur performed amazingly for Lucknow Super Giants and took five wickets in his name. He has proved to be the biggest hero for the team. Lucknow had given Gujarat a target of 164 runs to win, in response to which Gujarat team was all out for 130 runs.
Gujarat Titans batsmen flopped
Gujarat Titans had a good start. When Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill made a partnership of 54 runs for the first wicket. But after this Shubman Gill was out after scoring 19 runs. Then Gujarat’s innings fell apart like a pack of cards. At one time the score of Gujarat Titans team was 5 wickets for 80 runs. Sai Sudarshan scored the maximum 31 runs for the team. Rahul Tewatia contributed 30 runs. Except these two, no batsman of Gujarat Titans could perform well. Veteran batsman Kane Williamson could score only 1 run. Ravi Bishnoi dismissed him with a brilliant ball.
Yash Thakur took five wickets
Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya bowled amazingly for Lucknow Super Giants. Together, these two players took a total of 8 wickets and destroyed the batting of Gujarat Titans. Yash Thakur took 5 wickets for 30 runs in 3.5 overs. Whereas Krunal Pandya took 3 for 11 runs in 4 overs. One wicket each went to the account of Naveen Ul Haq and Ravi Bishnoi.
Stoinis-Pooran’s excellent batting
Lucknow Super Giants did not have a good start against Gujarat Titans. When Quinton de Kock was out after scoring just 6 runs. After this, Devdutt Padikkal also returned to the pavilion after scoring 7 runs. Rahul contributed 33 runs. But it was only because of Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran that the Lucknow team was successful in reaching a respectable score. Both these players presented an example of good batting. Stoinis scored 58 runs and Puran scored 32 runs. Ayush Badoni scored 20 runs in 11 balls, which included three fours.
